Mobile payments for tickets in Paris subway

The RATP ( french national public transports company) associated with the company Visa, in order to access the technical feasibility of a system of payment of tickets in the Paris Subway, from contactless cards.

The system "Visa payWave" will be tested in Paris during 2009. Regarding the use of this service, a credit card will include a microchip which will lower readers with contactless card on a small distance. In this context, travelers RATP would' nt lose more time to buy a ticket.

At the Club "& Identification Cards", held in Paris in early November, the Visa group had outlined a turnstile system RATP, compatible with the contactless cards. The company is also testing for recent years, other solutions tickets, from mobile phones with an NFC chip.
